As ASSISTANT IT MANAGER, you will be responsible for optimizing the performance of IT systems for all ARDEX Americas employees across the U.
S.
, Canada, and Latin America.
You will have working experience of IT applications for business, technology infrastructure, database administration, enterprise security, and help desk, together with experience of multi-site networks.
This position will be based out of our corporate campus, located 20 minutes North of Pittsburgh International airport.
Key responsibilities Build strong relationships with all Department Managers to gain comprehensive understanding of changing department needs.
Participate and lead US and Global-initiated technology implementations to include project coordination, implementation, administrator training, and end-user adoption.
Constantly research and recommend new applications and systems to streamline business processes.
Ensure critical system uptime and availability, specifically SAP, Cognos, Phocas, Azure and other Cloud Infrastructure, Voice, etc.
Establish and maintain user procedures and hardware familiarization for all systems.
Provide Systems Administration, including maintaining user/group accounts, user configuration, trouble-shooting access problems and completion of on-site documentation including global VPN Manage helpdesk tickets to ensure ongoing support of end-user hardware, software, and processes.
Provide system support services, including service outage diagnosis, troubleshooting and restoration of service, virus protection management.
Provide 24 / 7 support for mission critical systems, as necessary.
Assist with network support and security for Active Directory maintenance, Server Infrastructure maintenance, Network Infrastructure maintenance - wired & wireless, Network protection and failover tools implementation (Firewall, web security, etc.
) Support ARDEX Americas component of ARDEX global Office 365 and Skype for Business infrastructure.
Responsible for day-to-day operations of EDI as well as coordinating the setup, testing, and implementation of new Trading Partners and document mappings.
Manage Internet and Wide-Area-Network infrastructure for Aliquippa, Mansfield, Bourbonnais, Dallas, Stockton, and Frankfurt (SAP Data Center).
Manage database Administrator functions for Microsoft SQL Server.
This includes the installation and maintenance of the SQL Server software and the setup of custom databases, Views, Stored Procedures, database / transaction log backups, and security for purchased or custom applications.
Monitor automated stored procedures daily to ensure they are functioning properly (i.
e.
, SQL backups, SAP data warehouse updates).
Responsible for maintenance, and enhancement of critical custom applications (i.
e.
, POS Analysis System, ARDEX Commission System, etc.
) Manage hardware inventory, software licenses, and maintenance agreements.
Manage Phone System, voice mail, and ACD Call Group.
Experience and Skills Minimum 5 (five) years of IT support and supporting business needs Supervisory experience a plus, or ability to coach and lead Understanding of key business processes (order-to-cash, purchasing, accounts payable).
Experience within a manufacturing environment is preferred.
MCSE or strong networking skills is preferred Demonstrable experience of Desktop OS and Applications including Patches Experience supporting complex multi-site networks is preferred Experience with SQL Server and application development is essential Management report writing skills such as BI, Cognos, SQL SAP & EDI experience is preferred Working knowledge of Digital Marketing, Social Media, and CRM is preferred Solution driven approach to problem solving; ability to troubleshoot, correct, and communicate solutions to problems quickly.
Good organizational skills.
Must be able to manage and prioritize multiple projects and end user requests Excellent relationship management skills.
