Clinical Systems Analyst

The Clinical Systems Analyst's primary responsibilities are the development, implementation, maintenance and support of complex clinical information systems to improve patient care and clinical operating efficiencies in compliance with all applicable regulations and organizational policies. The Clinical Systems Analyst develops and coordinates changes to key clinical applications through the formulation and definition of project scope and objectives through discussion and observation with clinicians, their management, and other information systems specialists. The Clinical Systems Analyst assists end-users and other support personnel in the application of information technology to meet ongoing and ad hoc business information requirements on a timely basis. Partnership and collaboration with other information systems personnel, within the organization and with application vendors is required. The Clinical Systems Analyst is responsible for transferring first-level support knowledge for assigned applications to the first-level support personnel on the Heritage Valley Health System Help Desk through a combination of training and documentation, including system flow charts and data flow diagrams. RequirementsA bachelor's degree in information systems, clinical studies, computer science or a related field with three years of clinical information systems support experience, or clinical experience in a healthcare setting, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
This position requires basic familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook; personal time management and organizational skills; and the ability and desire to collaborate in cross-functional teams with minimal direct supervision. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and analysis skills, are required. Superior performers have a track record of being able to get things done through others over whom they have no direct authority.
This role requires excellent interpersonal, time management, and technical analysis skills, including the ability to extract and analyze underlying system data and processing logic for assigned applications software as it is presented to end-users through Heritage Valley Health System's information systems (e.g., Sunrise Clinical Manager (SCM), CAP, iCAP, GE Perinatal and Surgical Services, Provation and patient billing). The motivation and ability to understand and maintain system security, to extract and analyze data from assigned applications, and to fully learn the features and functions of assigned applications and the platforms they run on, is essential.
An in-depth knowledge of hospital functions and their interrelationships, and an understanding of how clinical systems applications support hospital operations, is also essential. Expert knowledge of specific clinical specialties supported (e.g., emergency care, medical records, lab, pharmacy, radiology, surgery, endoscopy, cath lab, pediatrics, critical care, maternity, patient accounting, etc.), through training and/or experience, is a plus. Superior performers in this role demonstrate the ability to continuously improve the capabilities of health care providers through the extension of applied information technology in the health care setting through strong team-based problem-solving and collaboration skills.
Preferred Education and Experience:
The ideal candidate is an experienced clinical health care professional with information systems support experience seeking new challenges in a fast-paced, state-of-the-art health care environment. Prior experience using a systems development methodology, preferably in a project leadership role, is preferred. Experience in end-user training and support is highly desirable.
A bachelor's or master's degree in information systems, clinical studies, computer science or a related field combined with five or more years of hands-on clinical and clinical systems support experience is preferred.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
