Physician - Aliquippa, Pennsylvania

Pinnacle Treatment Centers has an immediate need for a Physician (MD or DO) in the Aliquippa, Pennsylvania area. Applicants must have commitment to quality patient care and interest in Addiction Medicine.

  • Maintaining objective, policies and organizational plan, as well as the Performance Improvement Program for the medical services provided

  • Medical policies and procedures shall be reviewed at least annually

  • Ensure that his or her exams of patients meet all state and federal requirements for admittance.

  • Provision of medical and/or psychiatric consultation to other disciplines.

  • Participate in developing and supervising Medical Staff in exam practices or Pharmacists and Dosing Nurses in dispensing practices, ensuring compliance with all state, federal and CARF regulations

  • Ensure that evidence of current physiological dependence, length of history of addiction, or exceptions to criteria for admission are documented in the patient's record before the patient receives the initial dose.

  • Ensure that a medical evaluation, including a medical history, has been taken and a physical examination has been done before the patient receives the initial dose (except that in an emergency situation the initial dose may be given before the physical examination).

  • Examine patients at intake and at other stages of treatment.

  • Ensure that appropriate laboratory studies have been ordered, performed and reviewed and that all communicable diseases are communicated to all clients as required

  • Order, sign or countersign all medical orders for dosing as required by Federal or State law. (Such medical orders include but are not limited to the initial medication orders and all subsequent medication order changes, all changes in the frequency of take-home medication and prescribing additional take-home order changes, all changes in the frequency of take-home medication and prescribing additional take-home medication in an emergency situation within 48 hours of verbal order). All verbal orders must be signed within 48 hours of receipt.

  • Review and countersign treatment plans at least annually.

  • Ensure that justification is recorded in the patient's record for reducing frequency of clinic visits for observed drug ingesting, providing additional take-home medication under exceptional circumstances or when there is physical disability, or prescribing any medication or physical or emotional problems in accordance with the law.

  • Works with and supports Medical Director and Program Sponsor to ensure program provides quality patient care.




Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
