EHR Clinical Analyst

The Ambulatory Clinical Systems Analyst's primary responsibilities are the design, development, implementation, maintenance and support of complex clinical information systems to improve patient care and clinical operating efficiencies in compliance with all applicable regulations and organizational policies. This role is responsible for acquiring an understanding of the assigned system application, features, and functions as it is presented to end-users. The Ambulatory Clinical Systems Analyst works in collaboration with all organizational divisions to develop quality clinical systems and fiscally responsible business solutions. This role not only serves as a clinical system expert for ambulatory practice care sites and methods but through partnership and collaboration supports additional information system teams as well as external vendors as required. The Ambulatory Clinical Systems Analyst is responsible for transferring first-level support knowledge for assigned applications to the first-level support personnel on the Heritage Valley Health System Help Desk through a combination of training and documentation.

Requirements
Bachelors in Nursing Science, Information Systems, Computer Science or Applicable Clinical Study, OR Bachelors in a related field with a minimum of three years of clinical or information systems experience. OR Clinical, Operational, or Business experience in a Physician Practice with an equivalent combination of education and experience required.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Products, Word, Excel, Outlook
Proficient in evaluating clinical system processes, workflows and clinical application data elements.
Ability to continuously improve the capabilities of health care providers through the extensions of applied information technology in a health care setting thru strong team-based problem-solving and collaboration skills.
The ability to orchestrate the successful completion of projects without direct authority over contributing departments or teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with systems development methodology, preferably in a project leadership role
Five or more years of hands-on clinical and clinical systems support experience
Experience with clinical system interfaces especially laboratory and radiology systems
Familiarity of clinical system security and health record protection policies

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
